Serving You Since 2002
Jim Scimonetti, a local musical talent well-known both for his outgoing personality and electrifying performances, created our store in 2002. In the late 1990’s, Jim had been repairing and customizing woodwinds as a side job for a few close friends. At the urging of his son, Jim opened the California-based business under the name Jim Scimonetti Woodwind and Brass Repair.
Shortly afterwards, the store was buzzing with activity as student and professional musicians from Southern California and beyond flocked here for our selection, prices, and to visit with our technicians and sales people, who are always ready to freely share their musical expertise.
As a long-time brass customer and fellow musician I took a personal interest and became a business partner in the fall of 2007. Eighteen months later we moved the store to its current location in the emerging "Downtown Lancaster" area, Jim retired, and my family and I took the helm. We were so blessed during our first year that we chose to honor our Lord Jesus Christ by giving the store a new name, Cornerstone Music.
Today we offer brass, orchestral strings, percussion and woodwind instruments for sale or rent, as well as accessories, books, lessons and full instrument repair services. We are committed to providing our best in terms of selection, product quality, pricing and service.
Located in downtown Lancaster, California, which is approximately 70 miles north of Los Angeles, we are here to be of service to you, professionals and students alike, today and for many years in the future.
